Nurturing Non-Violence within the COVID19 Environment

This collaborative action research project is primarily funded through a seeding grant from the Sydney Local Health District and the Sydney Institute of Women, Children and their Families with additional financial contributions from Leichhardt Women’s Community Health Centre, the Inner West Council, and the Department of Communities and Justice and in-kind support from Tresillian, Women NSW, Women’s Safety NSW, and Barnardos. This research project aims to explore the perspectives of health and human service professionals who provide home visiting and other services to families experiencing domestic and family violence. The research focuses on developing an understanding of effective practice at the intersections of perinatal health, early childhood development and domestic and family violence within the context of a global health pandemic.
